TREATMENT
MORE PIECES YOU MIGHT LIKE TO KNOW

What makes me different from other acupuncturists?

I feel really fortunate, I've had the opportunity to be involved in a school of meditation that is interested in taking experiences to a very deep level. Over many years, this has enabled me to not only get a good handle on who I am but also how to be with others, deeply.
I love bringing deep spaces during my sessions with patients. It allows them to be able to be still within themselves, and in doing so allows the innate capacity of the body to reorganise and return to its homeostatic position.

What does a session look like?

To start with I want to know you, not just what's in your intake form, but to understand what your passions are, what drives you to be in the world the way you are - the things that ignite you and the things that don't. So initially I put aside time to hear that. I then start to see what's happening in your body. This involves traditional forms of diagnosis including taking the pulse, looking at your tongue and potentially doing some palpation of the meridians of your body.
Based on all of this information I then begin treatment. This looks different for each patient depending on what's needed. Regardless of the treatment modalities that are chosen, it's really important for me to create an environment where you feel completely held, where you're only job is to let go. All these modalities are opt in, if at any point you're not comfortable with a particular technique or need more explanation, then that's really important to share. I can be flexible in what I use to get the result I'm looking for.
During the session I may ask you to share the sensations you feel. Depending on a number of factors, rearrangements can happen in different time frames, providing feedback allows me to gauge these and act accordingly.
